Hi zesties! 🍋 Planning a wedding can be overwhelming, especially when it comes to budgeting. With so many details to manage, here’s a guide on where to save and where to splurge on your big day!

SPLURGE!

✅ Photography & Videography: This is one area where I recommend spending! High-quality photos and videos will capture your special moments, serving as cherished memories for years to come. A skilled photographer and videographer can make a difference.

✅ Hair & Makeup: Investing in a talented hair and makeup artist is a must! You want to look flawless without worrying about makeup melting or flat hair. This is essential for looking great in all those photos!

✅ Venue (depends): The venue sets the tone for your entire event. While you don’t need the most expensive option, it’s crucial to choose a place you love. Ask yourself: 1) Does it fit my budget? 2) Do I genuinely like it?

✅ Outfits (depends): Your wedding outfits will feature prominently in your photos. While you don’t need designer clothing, finding an outfit that flatters you is key. Focus on the right silhouette and fit rather than just the price tag.

SAVE!

❌ Wedding Car: Skip the fancy wedding car, consider renting a regular one and giving it a good clean, or borrowing from friends or family. No one is going to remember what car you used for your wedding.

❌ Entertainment: You don’t need a live band or emcee to have a great time. With a bit of creativity, you can DIY your entertainment and keep costs down.

❌ Invitations: Many venues offer complimentary invitations, so take advantage of that. If not, consider e-invites where they’re fully customisable and free.

❌ Wedding Favors: They can often feel unnecessary. Instead of spending on items that guests may not use, consider skipping them entirely to reduce waste.

❌ Venue Decor: Most venues already come with decor and often it’s not something that guests notice. Put your budget forward on other things instead.

❌ Bouquet: Wedding flowers can be pricey and often go to waste. Opt for beautiful faux flowers or work with more budget-friendly florists (I got my bouquet from Tiong Bahru market)
