Inspiration for your flat-lays 🌸✨

Want to create cozy flat-lays for your images of books, your Nintendo switch or anything else, but don't know where to start? Even if I'm not a pro and wish I was even better, here are the things I do to make my images look more interesting! 🥰

1. Start off with a clean background. It doesn't have to be white, but I like using a white blanket and add color in the items I add instead!

2. Center the item you want to show off. I've seen a lot of people put something underneath to add some height and make the item pop even more, especially if you show off something small! I like using a tray or an easel to add more depth.

3. Plants! Optional of course, but I find that adding plants or flowers makes the image look more lively and pretty. You can truly go crazy here-- I just like adding the plants or flowers I personally love the most. 🌷

4. Add cute items that match the theme. I took a flatlay of my Switch, and because I'm into cozy games, I added a little Bulbasaur figure on the side and a mushroom lamp to make the image look more cohesive. Want to take an image of a fantasy book? Maybe you can add a beautiful golden locket, a quill, a pair of glasses next to it-- get creative!

5. Pinterest for inspo. There are so many different photo inspirations out there, and taking inspiration is not necessarily copying. It might not always turn out the way you would like it to, but practicing and not being afraid to try out different things is all part of the process! 😌💗
