I've been using Notion for planning and organising my life since it's inception back in 2018 😅
I love how flexible it is and allows me to keep my calendar, to-do lists, project planning and notes in one place! Since I get a lot of questions about what I use to plan and how I stay organised, I thought it would be a good idea to show and explain my Notion set-up. Also, I went from using Notion for my grad school notes and taking notes in lectures, to planning and organising my work life too.
I've connected all of my pages into a single dashboard. I love having a clickable landing page, and it's split into 3 main categories: daily, work and projects.
〰 Daily category: for daily and weekly to-do lists pages, trackers for tracking my budget for the year
〰 Work category: all of my work planning and notes live here, I also have a separate page with additional calendars and pages for all of my content planning
〰 Projects category: all of my thoughts and ideas live here for yearly reading challenges, or specific writing projects
I've set up my to-do list page to be easily customisable. I wanted flexibility to change it daily, but I also have a weekly section for additional tasks that are not set for a specific day. I don't like being super strict with time-blocking my tasks, as I use a calendar overview for events and deadlines. I only like to keep to-do lists for the day, instead of planning it in advance.
My content planner consists of a calendar overview for projects and deadlines. I also have additional pages for project planning, to-do lists for sponsored content, etc.
I'm happy I'm sharing my Notion tour because I want to change it to make it more efficient and fun to use. There are many pages in my Dashboard that I don't use anymore, and I'd like to change them up and have a better set-up. If you have any recommendations, let me know!
