My #SchoolDays - School Ambitions Vs What I do now

Do you remember your ambitions during your #SchoolDays? I remember it like it was yesterday 😅 When people asked you what you want to become when you grow up what was your answer?

Mine was too many... At one point during my primary school I wanted to be a veterinarian doctor 🫣 I really loved animals so all I could ever think of at that time was to become a vet. I remember writing that in that book (I can't remember what book, if some 🍋ers here know what I'm talking about please drop in the comments🙏) where they asked you about your ambitions, so I wrote 3 options, 1st option was to be a veterinarian. 2nd, to be a teacher and 3rd was to be a nurse? I can't remember that part. But I do remember that I really wanted to be a vet. And now I ended up being a pet shop manager and also a pet groomer specialist in a local pet shop which I think is pretty close enough! 😁 (Hence the first cat pic above 😅), but my education background was Bachelor Degree in Education (So I actually could've become a teacher, my second option 😂)

And not only that, during my time in middle school I discovered my love for drawing and arts from a manga called Sailormoon. That was the moment I discovered I actually have the talent to draw.. So from being a veterinarian, I switched to wanting to be an artist. I drew manga style arts to realistic portrait arts back in my #SchoolDays.. and even told my parents that I want to be an artist one day, and being Asian parents, they told me being an artist is not a real job that pays good money 😞 Money matters when you're choosing your career choice. And on a separate occasion, I don't remember why, I told one of my classmates in front of everyone confidently that I wanted to be an artist. Guess what his reaction was? He laughed at me and even with the rest of the classroom too. That was embarrassing #Susahnya 😞

Ok, long story short, I left drawing and arts for years because arts is an expensive hobby, plus I don't have the time to draw, so recently I decided to produce some artwork #MyFreeTime. Did you guys swipe left on those pics? Yes, those are my recent artwork after so many years of ditching arts , do you guys like it? 🫣 Please tell me in the comments. Now that spark is there again and I finally decided to be a part time artist. Wish me luck guys 🤞 I need to sharpen my already rusty skills ☺️
