Who doesn’t love a homemade lasagna? Honestly, very easy and you will impress all of your friends 😋

Ingredients for meat sauce:

•1 lb lean ground beef

•1 lb sweet Italian sausage

•1 white onion, chopped

•5 cloves of garlic, minced

•1 1/2 jars of your fave tomato sauce. I used Rao’s.

• 1 tablespoon tomato paste

•1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

•1/2 tablespoon garlic powder

•1/2 tablespoon onion powder

•1 tsp red pepper flakes

•salt & pepper to taste

Ingredients for Ricotta mixture:

•1 large container of ricotta cheese (skim or whole milk). If smaller tubs, use 2.

•2 eggs

•1 cup of Parmesan cheese

•1/4 cup fresh parsley

•1/4 cup fresh basil

•salt & pepper to taste

Extra ingredients to have:

•1 bag of shredded mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese.

How to assemble:

•Cook the Lasagna noodles in a large pot of salted boiling water until almost cooked through but not all of the way. You want the noodles to still be more than al dente. Drain the pasta and run under cold water .

•In a large rectangular baking dish, ladle some of the meat sauce onto the bottom of the dish to coat.

•next, add noodles right on top across the bottom.

• next, you will add the ricotta mixture and spread across the noodles. Sprinkle with a light layer of shredded mozzarella cheese.

•repeat with the meat sauce, noodles, ricotta cheese, shredded cheese and meat sauce again. Repeat this step.

•finish with the last layer of meat sauce. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese and parm and cover with foil.

•bake on 400° for about 20 to 25 min.

•uncover the lasagna and broil on high for an additional 3 to 5 min to make the cheese all bubbly on top.

•finish It off with fresh parsley and enjoy!
