Lets cross the Equator 🌎

One of the biggest traditions on Semester at Sea is Neptune Day!! This is the day that you cross the equator on the ship. Institute for Shipboard Education | Semester at Sea

This maritime tradition is super fun and truly special. The day started with the crew waking us up bright and early with drums down our hallways. We then headed to deck 9 where the ceremony began.

We were dunked with green slime and then had to jump in the pool. Once you swim across you are met with 3 fish waiting to be kissed!

The rest of the day is free time! And fun fact, my voyage had Thanksgiving & Neptune day on the same day so it was a very special and fun tradition filled day.
