dream bday 🌞

On my 30th birthday we arrived in Messina Sicily! We took the train to Taormina where there is an amazing town and beautiful beaches! I am a warm sunny beach fanatic, so I knew I wanted to spend my day sunbathing & swimming.

When we arrived we took a taxi from the train station because the town is way up on a hill. We walked around and explored the local shops. I loved all of the Sicilian culture and decor. Sicily definitely has its own unique vibe and aesthetic that I loved.

We headed to the beach by taking the funicular down and walked to Lido La Dolce Vita. We had a seafood pasta lunch (as per usual 😅) and rented beach chairs. It was really nice here with the restaurant, drinks at the lounge chairs and nice bathrooms & changing rooms.

The water felt amazing and I was so happy to get to swim in the ocean on my birthday since it’s my fav thing ever! I loved Sicily and would love to return and explore it more, there’s sooo much to see on this beautiful island!
