Where To Eat: Korean Ricecake Buffet 👀✨

Limitless Korean ricecake sounds like an absolute dream – especially with the recent cold and rainy weather 🌦️

Fun fact: Dookki = two meals. Located at Suntec City, this is a Korean ricecake buffet that allows you to enjoy unlimited tteokbokki and noodles, PLUS kimchi fried rice cooked with the remnants of the kimchi soup.

This is one of those TikTok viral restaurants and I think the concept is pretty unique – except the ricecakes were average. Don’t get me wrong, they were good. But out of the 6 available choices, 4 of them tasted the same. The unique ones were the sweet potato and cheese version, and surprisingly, the cheese tteokbokki was sweeter than the sweet potato. But, the saving grace is the chewy texture, which is what I really love about ricecakes. The soup was yummy though my low spice tolerance barely survived without downing two cups of iced tea with every spoon —which btw, is also free flow 🍵 You also get to choose vegetables and meat (only chicken) to add with your soup. I wished they had more meat options tbh.

Also, there’s a fried food station where you can select mandu, fried chicken and other fried delights. I loved everything honestly. The fried chicken was absolute *chef’s kiss*– my bf kept going back for more 🤤

Sadly, we did not get to try the kimchi fried rice cause we were stuffed (oops). You’ve been warned: Come with an empty stomach and leave room for the fried rice 🥵🤡

Me and my bf went around 6pm, which was the perfect timing to avoid the dinner crowd. Literally 10 minutes later a long line had formed.

Overall: We enjoyed the meal + my bf said he’d come back again!! But, I do wish the ricecakes were more unique 🥲
