matcha monster cookies

Don't let the monstrous appearance of these spooky treats fool you—one bite and you'll be under their spell! Perfect for Halloween parties or anytime you want to add a little thrill to your snack time…

Ingredients

— 1 1/2 tbsp Matcha.com matcha powder

— 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

— 1/2 tsp baking soda

— 1/2 cup unsalted butter, soft

— 1/2 cup granulated sugar

— 1/4 cup white chocolate, melted

— 1 medium egg, room temp

— 1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions

— Mix together flour, matcha, and baking soda in a bowl.

— Cream together butter and sugar using a hand or stand mixer.

— Scrape the sides of the bowl and pour in the melted white chocolate.

— Continue to mix until the mixture is light and fluffy.

— Add in the egg and vanilla, and mix until the sugar is fully dissolved.

— Add in the dry ingredients and mix until everything is combined.

— Cover with a plastic wrap and let it chill in the fridge for 1 hour.

— Preheat the oven to 350F.

— Scoop out the dough and place it on a lined baking tray one inch apart.

— Bake for 10 minutes.

— Place edible eyes on top of the cookies while it’s still hot.
