Picking the right primer!

For a while I didn’t have a primer included in my daily make up routine and now I have 3! Depending on the look for Im going that I will make my selection. When picking the right primer you want to think about the occasion, hydration level, and whether you want a matte finish or a dewy park kt finish.

1. Hydration: obviously what I’m doing that day plays a big role. If I’m running errands that day and wearing minimal make up then I’ll pick a primer like the Smashbox photo finisher primer. This one is a creamy one and it’s very hydrating. It delivers dewy skin in seconds and hydrates for up to 72 hours. I sometimes even use this as just a Moisturizer 🤭

2. A matte look / shimmery look: so do you want a matte look for the day or a glittery shimmery look 🤔. Rare Beauty illuminating primer is water based, light weight, and it’s a non sticky gel. It doesn’t even feel like you have any product on! I wear this one when I want a more of a matte option. Now on the other side of the spectrum is the Armani beauty hydrating primer. This is one is part of their luminous silk collection. When you apply it, it feels like it melts into your face giving you the most hydrating and glowy/ sparkly skin!
