I love fall and I love a great and easy diy themed activity! I created a jack-o-lantern sensory bag full of fall confetti. Over time while my boys played the color changed from clear, to a yellow, to very pumpkin orange! I’ll list my material below🥰
Sensory activities are important for all children to help develop their motor skills and support cognitive development. The benefits of sensory play is never ending but necessary for all ages.
Pumpkin sensory supplies:
• Gallon baggie
• Sharpie
• Water color tablets, one red, one orange
• A filler, I chose fall themed confetti
Draw on your pumpkin face to the front of the baggie and let it dry. Fill the bag about halfway with water then put in your filler. Place in your paint or water pain tablets last before taping down the bag.
I love using sensory activities with my boys not only for the benefits it offers them but how long it keeps them busy! They loved exploring the bag and finding all the fall themed confetti inside the pumpkin. There were different shaped and colored leaves to find along with stars as well. As they played the color darkened making them ask questions and explore color theory!
How do you feel about this activity and do you think you’d do it at home? How would you modify or better this little project? I would love to hear it in the comments🥰
