best kimono rental in tokyo👘 (includes hair🌸)

rented kimonos in asakusa before winter started and i had the best experience here! i topped up for most things including the obi, ornament and bag. each top up was 500yen each but honestly it was so worth it. it’s cheaper on weekdays and for students as well so prepare ur student pass! in total i paid like $60ish with all the top ups haha but u can use the kimono like the whole day till 4pm!

trying to be a local, i googled 着物レンタル浅草 because i thought it’s give better results since it’s japanese. it basically means kimono rental asakusa haha, but it was really good since there were a lot of local japanese in the shop.

there are a few courses to choose from but i’d definitely recommend the hair styling. when you’re there, there’s a lot of options for kimonos to choose from and you get 4 options for the hair but u can pick the hair accessories.

walked around in the kimono and had curry and matcha!! it’s the famous matcha shop in asakusa where you can choose the intensity of your matcha!! it’s really crowded but highly recc🍵
