Pinterest-worthy resort 3 hours from SG?!

Hello! 🍋 I am back with another travel related recco - this time to #thailand. Most of us have been to the usual Bangkok/Phuket so this time we decided to explore somewhere new - #chiangmai. To fully enjoy the mountain views, we booked a mountain poolside resort at Mt. Cloud. We couldn't find them on the usual booking sites like agoda/booking.com so we had to pm them on FB to make a booking! But all in all it was still fuss-free 🤩

The view was stunning and we were blessed with good weather! (although it rained for awhile but alls g).

💰 Price: about $140/night for the smallest villa for 2!

Pros:

☺️ plenty of photo-ops! and the pics really look straight out of #pinterest no matter where you aim your camera at

🏔️views!! of mountains

🏝️ weather was amazing - felt like 26 deg~ ish with wind

👍🏼super duper cozy!!!

😌 food options were aplenty to choose from, dinner was already included in the original room price but we chose to add on mookata for $15/2 pax SO WORTH (all the food tasted rly good).

🏊‍♂️ Extremely clean pool to dip in!

Cons:

🤡 MANY, many ... insects.... we spent most of the night shutting doors before bugs flew in, throwing slippers at them and there were cockroaches/bees/wasps/flies flying all around yucks!!! We had to swat them away while eating also...

🤡 Nothing much to do after 1 night tbh other than admiring the views so 2d1n would be a good time to spend here!

🤡 As it is at the top of a mountain, it is tricky to get up here so it would be better to rent a car / book an experienced driver to take you up in advance for safety!

Would def add this to a list of #lemon8recommendations to anyone going to Chiang Mai!
