Plastic sponges can work well, but if you are trying to generate less plastic waste or avoid plastic because of potential health hazards, there are a few alternatives. 🤓

A luffa comes from a plant in the squash family. These bad boys are minimally processed which means it used less resources to "manufacturer" to put it simply. At the end of its life it will break down without releasing microplastics. 🌿

As a mom I'm trying to navigate reducing products in our home that are unnecessarily wasteful or even potentially toxic. This one is easy because you don't have to change habits and it's not more expensive than a plastic scrubby. Some swaps are challenging but this one is a breeze. 😌
