the realities of working from home

when i was working in-person, working from home sounded SOOO nice and glamorous because “duh, i don’t have to leave the house”. however, after working from home for the last 1.5 years, im beginning to have issues.

just recently, my fiancé and i moved to oklahoma (away from all of our friends and family). and im starting to see just how hard it is to make friends in your 20s because it’s super awkward.

before i started working from home, i had no problem making friends so im starting to think that changed after i’ve been secluded to my office area compared to going in-office 5 days a week.

on top of that, i don’t ever leave the house now unless it’s to get groceries or to take my dogs outside to the bathroom.

before working from home, i didn’t think that i needed as much human interaction that i do and i feel it starting to wear on me. i know it sounds bad to say but i feel like i need friends other than my fiancé. though he is my best friend, i’d just like some girl friends too.

has anyone else who has worked from home dealt with this before?
