A perfect NYC Evening: West Village

You know those "wow I'm so happy to be here" moments that fill you up with joy and gratitude? This night brought that on for me. A friend was moving out of the city and we followed this West Village itinerary on one of her final nights.

We started with happy hour at Bobo. They have great deals with wine for $8 a glass. I also got an order of french fries with aioli for $12 because how could I not? They only have this deal in their "Den" area which is immediately when you walk in, but if you arrive between 5-6 you shouldn't have trouble getting a seat.

Next walk over to Mezzrow for drinks and a jazz show! This felt so New York to me. The space is small and intimate, and they ask you not to talk while the performance is going on. It's about an hour show, but doors open 30 minutes in advance so you'll have plenty of time to order a drink and get settled. Tickets run $40 on a Friday or Saturday night and is so worth it for the experience.

End your night a few minutes walk away at Bleecker Street Pizza. I got a slice of the Nonna Maria, which has mozzarella, parmesan, marinara, and fresh basil. This is a perfect New York slice and finish to a very New York City evening.
