The best walking trails in Houston, TX

Have you explored Houston’s walking trails with your dog? Which one is your favorite?! We have a few favorites!

🐢 Buffalo Bayou Trail is a great trail along the water way! They also have a big dog park and a small dog park!

🖼️ Menil Park is wonderful. Lots of sculptures around the park. Menil park is apart of an art collection. When you’re around town without your pup it’s a great spot to admire art!

🥾 Lone Star Hiking Trail is just an hour outside of Houston, just north of Conroe. It has great trails to hike with your dog! Also, a wonderful spot to camp!

🌿 Memorial Park has many trails to choose from and is centrally located. Our favorite is the Eastern Glades. We love to host weenie walks with our friends here!

⛲️ Memorial Hermann Park is just a hop away from the Houston Zoo. There are many gardens to walk through. The cherry blossoms are lovely in the Japanese Gardens just around spring time!

🐊 Brazos Bend State Park is right down 59 south in Booth, TX. Lots of great trails around small lakes. But make sure you keep your dogs leashed because this is a favorite spot for alligators!
