How to Manage Expectations in a Relationship

Okay, so, managing expectations in a relationship, right? It's HUGE. Honestly, it's probably caused more than a few arguments for me in the past.

For me, it all boils down to communication and a little self-awareness. Like, I've gotta be upfront with my partner about what I'm looking for and what I need. And not just assume they can read my mind! We gotta talk about the important stuff, like how much time we want to spend together, how we handle disagreements, you know, the biggies.

And the self-awareness part? Well, that's about recognizing that my partner isn't a mind reader either, and they're not gonna be perfect. We all mess up sometimes, and it's about giving each other some grace and understanding.
