The rescue of Baby Chicken Nugget

Today I was taking a walk around my neighborhood and noticed something moving in the mulch of my neighbors yard.

I walked over to see what it was and it was this helpless little thing 😭. I tried to find a nest where it could have fallen from but didn’t see one.

I immediately looked up and what to do and I ran home, put some paper towels in a shoe box, grabbed a pair of gloves, and ran back to go save him.

I brought him home and placed him in his little make shift nest that I made and then placed him near a space heater to keep him warm. He had no feathers and must have been just hours old 🥹.

I named him Chicken Nugget ❤️

I called the township police and they connected me with animal control and they came to rescue him within 30 mins 🥲.

I’m so grateful that I was in the right place at the right time to notice him 💙
