I think this is a really important tip that can be overlooked !! I personally love the feel of writing with ballpoint gel pens, and I definitely think it would make a difference if I didn’t have these when journaling. Also important to find out what kind of journal you like—do you want guided prompts provided in it? lined or blank paper?
🤍journal during a sacred/peaceful time for you
everyone’s different, but mornings are my absolute JAM. truly nothing more sacred to me than my morning routine of making breakfast, coffee, going on a walk, & journaling !! find that special time of day for you :)

what I love about journaling is that there’s no expectations—no one is staring at you asking deep questions waiting for your reply, it’s simply you and the notebook ! you can write as much or as little as you want to ! simply write your feelings, emotions, whatever’s on your mind—DON’T make it complicated !
