I always aim to get:

🍤🦪🍗 Protein: It can be chicken, fish or lean sausages, meat balls. Red meat is a good choice too, I just don’t enjoy it as much as other options. I love to stick with a rule to focus on protein and build any meal around protein. This way I know that my satiety hormone will be satisfied for longer.

🫐 🍒🥝Berries and fruits: This is my dessert. I can’t live a day without berries or fruits. When I need to sweeten my day, I’m making a bowl of fruits, add some yogurt on top, pb or chocolate drops and I’m happy!

🥥🥛🍶Dairy: I always eat yogurts, cottage cheese or farmer cheese. I tried to eliminate this group to check if my feelings will change, but this was a total bs for me. I just made myself less happy without them. This is a great protein option to add to any diet without raising your blood sugar levels. Especially when craving something to eat at night. But yogurts need to be Greek, and without any added sugars.

🥑🥒🍅Veggies and greens: these guys are indeed a must have. I don’t have a huge sweet tooth, but I love savory foods. And juicy and crunchy veggies make any meal mouthwatering: carrots, celery, cucumbers that you can dip into hummus or tzatziki. Or it’s a great way to add more colors to your meal: purple cabbage, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, bell peppers. Or my favorite way is air grilled zucchini, eggplants and mushrooms. Nothing sounds more satisfying than these.

🥨🍿🍧 Snacks: I try to choose snacks without inflammatory oils or added sugars. Always read the ingredients because it does matter! I have a list of brands and labels that I know and trust and always try to choose what I know. But even this can change so when you have time you need to reread the ingredients because overtime they may change the recipes.
