I have been lifting for a little over a year now, and there are several things I do in my daily life now that have contributed the most to my gains.

The first lifestyle change was focusing every meal I eat around protein. Each meal I eat has to have at least 30g of protein, and the meal I eat first after working out I usually try to hit 50g. This feeds my muscles and helps me grow!

The second change I made which led to growth is slowing down reps. This allows your muscles to really work during your sets and increases the time under tension which helps them grow.

The third lifestyle change was being consistent. I used to only go to the gym a few times a week and if I missed days I didn’t care. Now I go everyday and stick to my workout split. This has made the most difference.

The last change I implemented is progressive overloading. If you want to grow your muscles, you have to increase the weight consistently. Once you can push a certain weight with ease, it’s time to move on to the next weight up! This helps your muscles get stronger and grow.
