Fashion trends I saw on the VMAS Red Carpet

The MTV Video Music Awards are one of the biggest nights of the year for celebrity fashion. The celebrities are styled by some of the biggest name/ most talented stylists in the industry- so this is usually a great time to see what they consider to be on trend or think will be soon! I love to look at the different trends and use it as Inspo for my own outfits and wardrobe.

Here are some of the fashion trends I noticed on the VMAs red carpet:

✨Mesh and fishnet- mesh and fishnet were a reoccurring aspect of many looks on the carpet for both the men and women. I think this is because it is edgy and unique and adds texture to any look. Wear it on its own to be scandalous or layered over other pieces! Here I am with Chris Olsen, who wore a fishnet top!

✨Chrome: chrome has been a big trend all summer, and I kinda thought it was on its way out. I was definitely wrong because I saw SO many chrome looks in all different colors. I think I’ll do a separate post on these looks to give you style Inspo!

✨Denim on denim: another trend we saw starting this summer! I love this trend because you can just throw together denim pieces you already own to make it look like you bought a matching set!

✨Tulle: I saw tulle pieces as tops, skirts, and dresses! Tulle can be done in so many ways and can easily look super sexy and sheer or super dainty and elegant depending on the garment and how it is styled!

✨Flower chokers: this is a newer trend I have seen on social media a lot lately! Amazon has a few affordable ones that you can easily pair with a plain top to elevate a look

✨Leather and buckles: this is my favorite trend in a long time. I absolutely love a good leather jacket, so I adore how this style is being incorporated into other pieces.
