Things To Do In Florence

Florence is definitely one of the more touristy locations in Italy. With numerous study abroad programs there as well as it being a small city itself, the streets are infested with people at all times. And figuring out what is worth it and what isn’t can be difficult. These are some of the things you have to see while visiting the beautiful town.

One of the most amazing things you can see is Michelangelo's statue “The David.” The one thing I recommend the most is making sure that you book a ticket well in advance. In doing this you can get skip-the-line access and not have to worry about waiting hours in the hot Florentine sun. The ticket was only about 15 euros and was super easy to book. The statue itself was truly a wonder to see in person.

A less touristy but still cute spot is time to find some of the vintage-style photo booths in Florence. They are not very expensive only about 2 euro and the photos are so cute. They take forever to develop about 10 minutes and come out very wet so be careful when using them.

My favorite thing I did while in Florence was watch the sunset at Piazza Michelangelo. You can either bring your own bottle of wine or you can purchase one at the top and spend hours watching the sunset over the gorgeous city. #lemon8partner #destination
