FREE winter/ snow/ ice experience in Singapore?!

If you haven’t already caught the free winter experience happening outside Dhoby Ghaut Plaza Singapura, catch it now as your date/ family activity! Winter jackets and boots are available for free, whereas winter pants and socks are available for rent at a fee. Personally feel for the short 10-15minutes you’re gonna be inside, the pants are not necessary. But please bring along socks if you’re wearing non-covered shoes that day!

In this temporary set up, temperatures are about -16 degrees, great escape from Singapore’s crazy temperatures and humid weather.

While the area is relatively small (about the size of a HDB Maisonette), you can take nice pictures of the ice carvings, do “fishing” and slide down the mini slide (for kids only). If you’re just there to explore, you’ll prolly be done in 10min (Plus it will get abit too cold to tolerate past 10-15min).

The best experience (which most people forgot) was to end off with free drinks! There are 5 drinks to choose from and each person (who signs up to be a Syo Rewards member) will be entitled 2 drinks. So you and your partner will get 4 drinks in total. It’s not a huge cup, and the drinks are great thirst quenchers for Singapore’s weather!

On weekends there are even free snow showers happening outside Plaza Singapura at selected timings!
