Most terrifying thing that’s ever happened to me

Story time: Okay this happened a few years ago while babysitting my cousin. Every year we would go to this house and at the edge of the neighborhood there would be a big New Year’s Eve party. We stayed at the same house every year until one year the house was sold and the new owner refused to let us rent it. Instead we rented a bigger house on the street next to it. This house was nice because it had a bigger front and back yard. Our parents decided to go to the party a little early so that they could go to the bar and have some drinks before taking us. They said it would only be for a few hours AT MOST and that they were just a few minutes away. My cousin stayed inside with the dogs and played Roblox on his iPad but I got bored and went to go in the front yard on the swing. The sun was starting to set and the celebration was about to start. There was a tree near the end of the gate so on the swing I could see everyone that was walking around. I then started to see this shady looking guy continuously circling our house and eyeing me. I started to feel uneasy after the first 3 times he circled the house. So I went to sit on the porch and watch the people come by. Then I saw the guy come by AGAIN. I was freaking out so I went inside to check on my cousin. He was sitting with the dogs playing Roblox still. I grabbed my dog (the biggest dog there) and took him outside with me. After that there was no sign of the creepy guy but only for a little while. I went back to swinging as usual but then just like clock work the guy came right back. This time it was different though. It was sunset and starting to kind of get dark. My dog (who is very well trained and almost never growls or barks) ran up to the gate and started to growl. But here’s the thing other people have walked by and my dog didn’t care but something was off about this guy. Although unlike the other times he came by nobody was around. At this point it had been over an hour and a half since our parents left so I had known they would be back hopefully within an hour. I side eyed the guy and he kept walking. Minutes later he came back for the last time. This time walking on the grass touching the gate. He stopped and hovered over the gate. He was trying to talk to me but I was petrified. That’s when my dog started to go crazy. He was barking, growling and trying to bite the guy. I started to back up towards the door when the man grabbed my dog. He grabbed his collar and tried to pull him over the gate. I couldn’t understand what the guy was saying but he was yelling something to god. I then grabbed my dog by the waste and started to scream my dogs name. He was able to back away from the man enough for me to grab his collar and tug him up the steps back to the porch. The man then started to mumble something while trying to unlock the gate. Luckily my cousins dogs inside heard the noise and jumped from the couch they were on to the other couch to look out the window. I then screamed at the guy to leave or else. I started crying and my cousin heard. He opened the door and his dogs came running out. I let my dog go and they all ran at the fence and attempted to bite him. A kid and a dog is one thing but 3 dogs and 2 kids is another. The guy ran away and I never saw him again. After that I shoved my cousin inside and grabbed the dogs. I knew that down the street were some cops but it was a really far walk. I took my cousin and we closed every curtain and window the went upstairs to hid under his parents bed. While under the bed I called my dad and he came immediately. We never contacted the police but we never went back to that place.
