Here is a day of eats that was both tasty and stuck to my goal of eliminating dairy, gluten and refined sugar. I want this gut reset to be sustainable for me, meaning I want to be able to enjoy going out with friends while still sticking to my goals. Scroll to see how I ordered out while maintaining the diet!
Breakfast: a rice cake with almond butter and a honey drizzle, tuna for protein and a mushroom coffee (better than it sounds).
Lunch: crockpot chicken and veggie curry over rice. This recipe is in one of my recent posts and it was so good! I also packed a Lara bar, a beef jerky stick and some fruit for snacks at work. Also I brought kombucha since fermented food and drinks are great for your gut!
Dinner: we went out for dinner and I ordered chicken fajitas with just the rice and guac on the side. I skipped the beans, cheese and sour cream and asked for corn tortillas instead of flour. It was still delicious and a good reminder that it’s possible to go out and order food while still sticking to your goals!
