FORGET blowing your money on cafe hopping in Haji lane and discover the (somewhat) local & asian flavors instead !!! PerghChicks is one of #MyGoTo eats whenever i’m in the area (another would be Kulon,, maybe i’ll do a post about it soon!) and it’s AFFORDABLE AND SO GOOD 🤤 the amount i rave about this place…

PerghChicks serves up Malaysian ayam percik (spicy roasted chicken according to google) in decently huge portions that nvr fails to leave me and my tummy happy 😋 PLEASE get the percik sets if you’re up for spicy food (don’t worry it’s actually not that spicy,, but the sambal they serve is 🥵) THE SAUCE IS SO YUMS

it was definitely cheaper when i first came 1 year ago rip inflation… and gst…🥲

here’s what i’ve tried so far:

🍗percik chop set, $10.50

MY GO TO !! i love how big the portion is and one of my favorite things abt it is the WEDGES that i can eat with the sauce 🤤🤤 best pairing. the chicken chop is so nicely marinated & roasted in turmeric which i rly rly love

🌋 percik wings nasi kukus volcano, $10.50

this was basically like the regular sets but with SO MUCH percik sauce 🤤 the rice is hidden at the base of the metal can with an abundance of sauce on top which you’re supposed to lift up (see pic3 for a screenshot of us lifting up the can) sadly, it’s regular rice instead of blue rice and there are no wedges in this set :”(

the store is pretty small so it may be a little hard to get seats around 6pm (but it gets better at 7++). i have yet to experience a crowd during lunch time though
