I LOVE MY HAIR 🫶

Like just look at it. When I tell you this took a lot of time, patience, and self love!

Im pretty sure I have the same story as every other black girl. *clears throat* “My hair would be down my back if my mama didn’t perm it”. I know yall know that line.

Here’s the thing, my hair thrived when I had perms* (my mom used ✨texturizers✨ on me but let’s just call it a perm). It wasn’t until she stopped doing them consistently when I started experiencing issues.

When I say my hair broke off, it BROKE OFF. Real bad.

I wanted to shave my head ever since I was in high school. Not for the reason of going natural.. (I loved Amber Rose at this time so I wanted the shaved bald head). But of course, everyone tells you not to cut your hair.

Then when I was grown with my boyfriend i wanted to cut it all off and go natural. Of course he didn’t support it because it didn’t fit the *aesthetic* he was going for.

One day, I got so fed up with trying to please everyone else. I wanted control over my life. I wanted to make myself happy. So I picked up the scissors ✂️ and went to work.

Almost 4 years later.. best decision I ever made 🌺
