Start planning for a good 2024!

I enjoy taking time off to plan for my new year and being intentional about what I want to accomplish. A vision board is a fun reminder of my dreams and aspirations for the year!

💓 What is a ✨vision board ✨?

It’s basically a collage of photos that is meant to motivate you. A visual representation of your goals for the year. For me, I ask myself:

• what should be a priority this year?

• what do I want to do, accomplish or experience in the year?

• who do I want to be or what impression do I want to give?

💓 Why should you have a vision board?

Number one is because it’s so fun to design! Also because it gives you something to look forward to.

Especially when you are busy and have many many things to do, this vision board reminds you of what should be the most important to you.

You may not be able to achieve everything or your board OR your priorities might change - that is all okay! This is just a guide. Your year or experience might end up in a totally different direction, the key is to be mindful and appreciate all your experiences.

💓 What design tools can you use?

I prefer to have a digital visual board so I can have it on my phone or computer. As such, I usually design with digital tools or software.

But a fun activity for yourself and your friends, is to actually collect magazines, cut out pieces or words that make sense to you, and paste them in a book / on your wall.

💓 How to design a vision board?

The first thing to do is ask yourself: what do you want? You can go through some of the reflection questions above. The point is to have an idea of your dreams and aspirations. This can be about:

• your studies

• your career

• your relationships or friendships

• your personal growth

• material things you want to buy or own

• lifestyle or habit

You can then source for photos. I usually use Pinterest and search via key words. I scroll and scroll until I find a photo that actually makes sense to me (not just photo yg cantik ya). As much as it’s important to be aesthetic, please be realistic too ya (so that you won’t be disappointed if x dpt accomplish). For example, unless you are an astronaut or studying to be one, or your goal is to watch star / moon, there’s no reason to put a photo of a rocket landing on the moon kan? 😅

There is a balance between aiming big and manifesting positive vibes versus what is actually realistic and within your reach 🙊

Form a collage and put it somewhere where you can view often!
