Best Sushi in NYC 🍱🍣 Sushi of Gari Review

One thing about me is that I could eat sushi every day and it will never get old. I’ve visited many sushi restaurants in the city and this one wins by a landslide. Sushi of Gari on w 46th is my absolute favorite place to go when I want to drown in spicy scallop rolls.

It’s a cute, small restaurant tucked away in restaurant row in midtown west. They have a great menu, with omakase options which I usually get, but this time I decided to just get my favs from the sushi bar.

Starting off with the Maitaki Tempura ($12). These are so delicious. They are paired with a truffle salt and Parmesan cheese mixture and it’s truly to die for. Next up is an array of salmon, tuna, and scallop nigiri. All of these melt right in your mouth. So delish.

Finally, my absolute favorite of all time is their spicy scallop hand roll and cut rolls ($14 each). These are a dream if you love a spicy yet savory mixture. Unlike most sushi restaurants, They chop their scallop and mix it with tempura, salmon roe, and a spicy Mayo. I could eat 100 of these rolls.

Sushi of gari is definitely more on the expensive side of sushi but totally worth it if you’re looking to level up you sushi game. 🍣🍱
