Why I dropped out of college 💛

I went to the university of Maine for a semester. When I got there I was having a blast I did meet life long friends but my mental health was slowly deteriorating.

There was a good month I skipped every single class/test that I had and just did not care. I did go out to the parties and had a blast but wouldn’t do anything besides partying and sleeping.

I was at my lowest. My anxiety was through the roof. And on top of that I did not get along with my roommate.

I came back from winter break and my roommate was gone and my boyfriend (at the time) had left. I was living in the room alone and yes I had two very close friends but I was waking up with panic attacks every night and felt so drained and alone.

I decided to do what was best for me and go back home. It was the best decision I’ve made for myself. My mental health is very much better and my anxiety is under control. College can take a huge toll on your mental health and if I stayed I would be worried about myself.
