I STAYED WITH A FRENCH FAMILY for 2 WEEKS 🇫🇷

So the jolly season is nearing, which reminded me of my winter exchange last year in December ❄️ 🌲 For context I took NTU’s winter exchange Language Immersion Programme (LIP). I missed it so much (more like the host family’s cat hehe) so here’s me sharing part of my lovely experience ~

- randomly allocated to a host family (u can select ur preferences of staying in an apartment or house, and if you are ok with pets!)

- my host fam picked my up from the train station and they were extremely welcoming, kind and lovely 🥹

- I didn’t speak fluent French and my host asked her son how to use google translate to better communicate with me 😭❤️

- they prepared dinner for me every night and breakfast sometimes (mostly the cat accompanying me tho)

- learned how to cook from her and she shared her amazing bread recipe with me

- gave my a bottle of local wine to bring back ?! they were so generous everytime

- and I became overly attached to the cat i felt like the chosen one HAHAHAH (it always came to me instead of the other family members and waited outside my room every morning uwuwuwu)

There were many other precious small exchanges of gratitude and just learning each other cultures which was very sweet 💕 The parents are retired and volunteer for humanitarian aid ~ honestly learned so much from them despite the language barrier
