this book— holy hell 🥵 penelope douglas knows how to write them! ⁣”as long as we’re together, we’re home”

this is very hard to rate because this is definitely not for everyone, I think just looking at the reviews on goodreads proves just that. ⁣

you either love this book or you absolutely hate it🤷🏼‍♀️ ⁣

I am that small percentage that LOVED this book! ⁣

I thought the found family, the trauma & healing each character went through & experienced was emotional, the storyline was good and sad at times, I loved the setting because I have lived in both Colorado & California so I loved that part, I loved that the men would literally die for the fmc, speaking of the men🥵 they were manly, into dirt bikes, living in the mountains? Say.No.More!⁣

the spice was spicing ooookk 🌶️⁣

now the reason it’s not for everyone is because of the family dynamic getting sexually/romantically involved (ifykyk) ⁣

However! I have to rest my case: ⁣

it’s “step family” so no blood relation, also they had never met each other so again didn’t have a relationship at all prior to her moving in, so I just didn’t see that it was that bad🤷🏼‍♀️🙃 might be very toxic of me haha ⁣

anyways, the men in this book are very HOT! ⁣

I grew up around dirt bikes and motor-cross racing it’s actually one of my fav things to watch & go to and I think it’s one of the most hottest things a man can do sooo this book had that going for it haha ⁣

and then I also grew up in the mountains hunting and fishing, camping, etc so I loved the men were very manly men❤️‍🔥 ⁣

anyways, I loved this book and I get it’s not for everyone. I read books to feel emotions, to push boundaries specially forbidden ones, and this book did just that for me🫶🏼⁣

will be reading more books from this author— birthday girl is next💁🏼‍♀️
