Visiting the Finger Lake Region in Upstate New York, is a nature lovers dream! From the soaring waterfalls to the scenic trails and gorges, it’s a must visit spot for an epic outdoor adventure! Here are 6 spots we visited on our trip to the Finger Lakes, NY!🇺🇸⬇️

Taughannock Falls State Park : There’s nothing quite like standing in awe of the natural wonder that is Taughannock Falls. There are two ways to see the falls! The Gorge trail is an easy 1km hike that takes you through the stunning landscape of the gorge! You’ll start your journey at a small yet gorgeous lower falls and gradually make your way to the main attraction! The second way to check out the falls is at the falls overlook! The overlook is easily accessible, with a parking lot at the Overlook Visitors Center right nearby!

Shequaga Falls : Chequaga Falls is a stunning waterfall nestled between two houses in Montour Falls, NY🇺🇸 The falls are located steps away from the street and make a great quick stop on your adventure in the Finger Lakes!

Keuka Lake Outlet Trail : This stunning 7 mile easy trail, spans between the town of Penn Yan and Dresden. Although we didn’t hike the entire trail, we did a portion of it and encountered stunning views and impressive waterfalls! Check out Seneca Mills and Falls along the trail!

Hector Falls : Hector Falls - located in Schuyler County, is just a short drive from Seneca Lake. This waterfall is right off the highway and the only parking is on the shoulder of the road! Be cautious when exiting/entering your vehicle, cars go quite fast down this road.

Watkins Glen State Park : Watkins Glen is a beautiful park that is a must see! Known for its natural beauty, the park has several hiking trails that offer stunning views of waterfalls and the gorge. Just a heads up, the gorge trail closes during the winter.

Ithaca Falls : Ithaca Falls, located in Ithaca New York, is absolutely epic! Coming in at 150ft tall and 175ft wide, makes it one of the most impressive in the region😮 The falls can be viewed from the street or you can take the trail the leads you right next to the falls!

Letchworth State Park : One of the most magnificent areas to visit in New York! This state park has waterfalls, scenic hiking trails, and even hot air balloon rides! We only had a short visit but we were still able to explore some of the most beautiful waterfalls I’ve ever seen!
