STAHM Morning Routine ☀️

6:30am - feed the kitties

7:30am - Baby Girl wakes up to eat and get her diaper changed (she may or may not fall back asleep)

8:00am - make the bed and vacuum

9:30/10:00am - baby feeds again (pump afterward)

11:00am - baby is usually taking a nap (short if she's already napped, long if she hasn't)

11:30/12:00pm - empty the dryer, start a load of laundry, and clean bottles and pump parts

This is a rough outline of what goes on in my mornings with an almost three month old. Even though I am NOT a morning person, I try to have the biggest household chores done in the morning so the rest of the day is easier and the impending doom of laundry piles doesn't get on top of me. It works! By the afternoon I have more free time, I can do some self care, scroll TikTok, get some writing done... whatever I feel like! And the small chores can wait. Notice how a meal isn't in that schedule? When you're a mom, you have to be an opportunist. I grab a bite whenever I have a few minutes to eat in peace. 😉
