trying the best boutique hotel in m'sia 🛎️

i recently went for a short kl trip and stayed at the chow kit - crowned malaysia's best boutique hotel for 2 years in a row! thanks to lemon8, i got to know of this hotel and decided to give it a go.

why you should stay here:

the vintage vibes — everywhere is a photo spot at the chow kit! the interior is unique to the hotel and showcases a nice blend of tradition and modernity. while there's no marble flooring or chandeliers, you do feel a sense of luxurious comfort.

the city view at an affordable price — i booked the room that overlooks kl city and let's be real, where else can you find a decent hotel in kl that is clean, spacious and boasts a stunning view for only $35/pax each night?

the premium shower/ toiletries — if you love rain showers (i do), you won't be disappointed! they also use jeanie botanicals' toiletries that makes me smell like i came from a spa. i rarely enjoy a hotel bath experience this much 🥹

the authentic malay food — the in-house kitchen & bar serves up amazing food! we didn't initially plan to dine here but the space looked too inviting and we had to give it a try on our last night, no regrets.

💵 price: sgd211 for 3 nights (with city view), sgd70/night

overall rating: 4.5/5 (what's missing for me were facilities like a gym/swimming pool but honestly, not a deal breaker.)

1. book through agoda and use incognito mode for more savings! i saved sgd60 for this booking 😛
