What its like to be chronically ill

There definitely so much more to cover, if my lovely chronically ill girlies want to comment and talk about your experience go ahead!! It always important to get your feelings out so please do, there’s so many unique experiences and that’s so valid.

🤍 My Story: I have always had autoimmune disease since I was a child , however for the past three years I’ve been sick. It started with covid. When I first got it I was okay, typical symptoms. As time went on I had more and more respiratory symptoms/ infection. I ended up going to the emergency room after I couldn’t stop coughing up blood. They told me I was in respiratory failure. They admitted me and cared for me. I was 13 at the time. Since then I have been in and out of the hospital for months at a time. However in the middle of august I got extremely sick, my mom started noticing that I was jaundice and I was constantly coughing up blood. We rushed to the emergency room. I had a really bad immune response. it attacked my lungs and kidneys. I went into kidney failure so I was put on dialysis. Then I started not being about to pee so the placed a foli catheter. I was in the worst pain of my entire life. Because I had so much trauma to my internal systems i developed functional neuropathy disease. Because of this I can no longer walk however the hope is one day I will be able to again
