Places to Visit in Munich, Germany ♔

visiting munich was a small part of our Germany trip, only spent ~ 4 days in the city 🏙 put together a list of places to visit if you go to munich!

⚘ INGLOSTAT

•outlet shopping

honestly there wasn’t much there when we went, there were also barely any sales, designer variety was also very little

⚘ Residenz München

• Germany’s largest city palace

SUPER worth the visit, definitely a must go!! there were so many different rooms and it was super beautiful, the details were insane ✨ audio guides were also available and it was super easy to access via the subway/ was a short walk from marienplatz

⚘ VIKTUALIENMARKT

• street market

this was located right beside marienplatz, was very happening and had so many different kinds of street vendors selling flowers, sausages, cheese, coffee, fruits&veggies etc. If you need any souvenirs it’s a good place to check out as well!

⚘ Marienplatz

• city centre - location of Rathaus-Glockenspiel (clock tower)

if you’re in Munich this place is unavoidable, everything you’d find in a city is here, including LOTS of shopping (urban outfitters, ZARA, h&m & branded outlets including LV, Chanel, DIOR etc.)

right in the centre is also the famous clock tower that chimes at certain time intervals everyday 🕰 there were a lot of people when we went so remember to go early for the best view!

⚘ English Garden

• huge urban park, biggest in Munich

this was the one place I didn’t visit because I spent the time shopping with my sisters 😵‍💫 my parents took a subway to this place & said it was very peaceful though, and you can catch the famous surfing at the river here too 🏄‍♂️

even though it was only a short 3-4 days, I very much prefer the countryside so it was super draining for me to shop everyday 😭😭 I liked that the city was not just all high rise modern buildings but also had preserved palaces and museums, if we had more time, these are the places I would have loved to visit as well

• Alte Pinakothek (beautiful museum)

• Nymphemburg Palace

p.s please ride their scooters 🛴 it is super fun and convenient get around the city on it hehe!
