😢😪 Feather Blade (East Coast) - Not worth it

Wah disappointing meal 🫨 Was looking forward to score another good deal with grab’s dine out discount, but Featherblade failed to deliver.

We had:

🍄‍🟫 Mushroom rice bowl

🍣 Seafood rice bowl

🍟 Fries

🍰 Cheesecake (complimentary after providing feedback)

💰 Price: SGD 41.96 (30% discount with grab’s dine out deals)

The rice was sooo disappointing, it tasted undercooked and was quite hard. I feel that this is a very basic thing to get right and no matter how good the ingredients are, the rice will make or break the experience.

The mushrooms were okay but it lacked depth. There’s a very.. bland taste to it that was saved only by the garnishes.

The salmon sashimi and scallop.. erm no comments, really nothing to shout about. The salmon slices were very thin and oddly sliced. I mean presentation is secondary but it feels like they’re random leftovers being thrown inside the bowl 😮‍💨

The fries were.. average? Although I have to admit I was quite biased by then.

The server came to ask for feedback and I commented on the rice. They offered to prepare another bowl which I declined as I dislike wasting food + is not terrible until cannot continue eating la. They gave a complimentary cheesecake which was.. umm, very mediocre 😭 Grateful for the service, but I felt that the cheesecake further wasted my calories 😭

Even with 30% discount, it was not value for money at all ☹️ also, this was when I realised there’s no more Citi SGD5 off so even sadder hahaha.

Omg forgotten to mention they gave complimentary popcorn as snacks which was lao hong and so tasteless. I feel so bad giving feedback on free food but I’d rather they don’t give and don’t waste food. If you want to give free snacks, need to be at least HDL’s quality? 😭

Sigh, sian wasted a weekend meal 😭 they’re better known for their steaks, so who knows maybe you guys may have a different experience.
