🇻🇳 TRAVEL FINDS: Glamping with mountain views 🗻

Looking to escape the hectic city life? If you’re headed to Vietnam, theres no better place to surround yourself in nature and embrace the outdoors than DaLat🌲

Nov-April is supposed to be a great time to go for cool and dry weather - bring a jacket bc it’s cold 💎 (although somehow sudden winds from the North made it rain the whole time we were there 🌧️)

We decided to embrace the outdoors and fresh air by spending a day in a Glamping camp famous for Sunrise Cloud Hunting 🌤️ We didn’t manage to catch the clouds that day (or rather, all we saw was fog) but nonetheless, it didn’t didn’t take away from the fresh air and beautiful mountain views 🏔️🫧

THE SPACE:

⛺️The tent has 2 clean and comfy mattresses, a heater, a fan and bottled water. The tent is decently sized, and just big enough to store and open 2 cabin trolleys.

🚿There were showers with hot water, but they’re shared and you have walk in the cold outdoors to get there. I did not try it… though my bf did and said it was fine 🤷🏻‍♀️

THE EXPERIENCE:

🍲 The stay includes a barbeque dinner with free flow marinated meat, after dinner campfire and simple breakfast before checkout. You can also purchase instant noodles, soju ($7/bottle) and wine 🍷

🎟️ It also includes entry to several attractions nearby (tea plantation etc.) although we didn’t visit these

🍃 There aren’t many activities around the camp. But the best part about this experience was the ambience - chilling with the the panoramic views and connecting with each other. Many groups also brought card games and spent lots of time taking photos 📷

GETTING THERE:

🚕 The camp is 30-40 minutes away from DaLat city centre or the airport and would cost about $40-60. I would recommend asking the camp to arrange for transport as it isn’t along the main route and Grabs can get lost.

✔️ Booking this place requires you to fill a form on their website and they will contact you via email/whatsapp. You can make payment via Wise. There are 2 price tiers of tents and from my understanding, the more expensive one is the one with better views.

DaLat is a place with infinite charm and I definitely want to head back soon. This camping experience was on the pricier side, but I think it was well worth it. ✨
