is it ok to have no friends? 👯‍♀️

everyone tells me that their 20s were the most roaring period of their lifes 🫨🫨 but for me…. its a period where i finally chose MYSELF ❤️‍🩹

for context, i am someone that seems extroverted because i yap alot, but i dont talk about myself much (meaning to say that people dont REALLY know me well) and its because of such “friends” that i gotta put up even more walls 🥹 i used to believe that everyone deserves a chance, and i would make friends with people that everyone else warned me about and it almost always ended with me being hurt … 😭

in the past, i would always try to fit in with the norm, i always surrounded myself with people that i called “friends” but they were never there for me 🤕 whenever i achieved something, they would never be happy for me and being in this environment for a long time made me a toxic and unhappy person 😭😭 PLEASE GIVE ME SOME FRIENDSHIP ADVISE 😭

eventually i grew tired of this situation and now i keep a very small circle of close friends that i would do anything for 🥹🥹 my entire uni life, i only had 1 friend from my course (of 400+ people) 🚨 he stayed with me for the entire 4 years and I AM SO GRATEFUL FOR HIM 😭😭😭😭 he was also the one that made me realise quality > quantity of friends! he was always there for me, forcing me to study when finals were nearing & he was NEVER selfish in sharing notes and all (bc i was always sleeping in class 😶‍🌫️😶‍🌫️)

finally, its lonely sometimes to have no friends. sometimes i achieve something and i have nobody to tell 🥹 its tough and im still getting used to it but im beginning to really be okay with cutting people out of my life (and becoming happier in the process!) 🥰🥰
