Helloooo zestiesss!! As part of my 25 before 25 goals, I have been wanting to visit all the states of Malaysia, a place so close to home, yet so underrated !
I always loved the short getaway to JB, and I wanted to find my next go-to destination in Malaysia 💓
Here is our itinerary and what is worth to go for, along with the cost, since I could barely find the details on Lemon8 when planning ourselves !
We went with 4 pax, so all costs are divided by 4! This made the trip extra worth it, tho I wouldn’t recc travelling with more peeps for this one 🙃 cause of the car space limitations.
TRIP START!!
// DAY 1 // 20-DEC
🤯 12am depart
- pickup from home to Centrum mall - SGD550
- was a pretty comfy ride for me, i slept throughout 👍
🥱 6am arrived (nothing much is open, except a small mart: get your choco / coffee drink to keep warm 👍)
🤤 Dimsum for breakfast: DIAN YI LONG - RM139
- food was pretty good, and makes a great breakfast
- there was a very aegyo cat which rolled around on the ground then went to the owner to ask for food 🤣
🌱 Walking distance to mini market nearby (nothing much is available to purchase, but is just cool to see the village and vibes)
🚕 Grab to location
🥾 Go for a small hike to ROBERTSON FALLS
we didn’t expect the route to be so hike-y so we didn’t get to go inside and see the full waterfall cause we weren’t dressed for it, but even just the short walk was really nice ❤️
🤮 Walk back to Lord’s cafe - RM35
tbh we were so excited for this, but we didn’t enjoy the snacks other than the scones 🥲 and also we wanted to see the space to experience a Christian-cafe vibes, but it just felt like they decorated it with some posters and vintage furniture… thats not what Christianity is about, and we even saw a poster which seems condemning and judgemental if I’m being real 😔
📍 Grab to BNB - GOLDEN HILL PENTHOUSE
- SGD304.34 for 2 nights
- super pretty loc with a nice day and night view, literally a castle lol! and also downstairs is the night market already, so 10/10 would recc
- but felt that the place didnt provide as much as other bnbs and the tv was my saddest, it not smart 😭
- overall very nice to chill and rest also at night, but their bed arrangement is questionable ahahaha
😴 Snoozed for a while
😋 Night market
- It was right downstairs our place, a long stretch market w lots of food!
- highlight was their sweet potato balls, refreshing hand-squeezed juice, roti john (surprisingly)
- rest were good to try but didn’t go back for seconds!

// DAY 2
// 21-DEC
Its my bdayyyy! Hubby and sis did me a haidilao dance, *chef’s kiss*, it was the uncoordinated moves for me ❤️
Day start 8.30am - driver picked us up from bnb
🍵 BOH Tea plantation
- super pretty loc at top of hill, great photospot, tea and coffee were on-point and we got lots of gifts home 😎
- they have a small tour (private cause cannot reveal their secrets we weren’t allowed to take photos and videos) showing their tea processes, its a short 5-min walk through the small factory but super cool exp!
- cafe was overcrowded so we opted to go somewhere else instead !
🪻Lavender Garden - RM80
- not a worth place esp after we went to an even more amazing garden! You can give this place a miss, but you MUST VISIT the one we did later on! (Read on!)
- Lavender was also v scarce at the loc, and they used other purple flowers and others to create a floral garden vibe, lots of barricades and cannot take nice photos for most 🥲
🐑 Sheep Sanctuary - RM120
- super cute mehmeh! Although the place isnt as upkept as I thought it would be, given that this is one of the main attractions at the camerons!
- for RM30 per pax, you get 1 small box of feed for every 2 pax paid, meaning for a pair of visitors you share a small box of feed
- while inside you get to purchase grass specially for alpacas, you can only feed the sheeps that small box of feed! (Q little really)
- overall was still enjoyable as you get an upclose opportunity with the sheeps and alpacas and get to pet them ❤️
- one of the alpacas was so aggresive it like bit my box really hard when I was feeding another alpaca, shock of my life I thought my hand was gone 😗
- also, I GOT SO ANGRY AT ONE OF THE PATRONS, cause he kicked the sheep in the butt :( like really hard just cause it was coming to him for the food ? That was just really mean and unnecessary :( poor sheep, I made sure to feed it whatever I had remaining :((
💐 Taman Bunga Flora Park - RM200
THE AMAZING FLORAL GARDEN I WAS TALKING ABOUT!!
- for an entry ticket of RM50 per pax, you really get your money’s worth with the indoor enclosure and even outdoors !
- there is a small rover ride up the hill complimentary from the park when you purchase access to the flora park 👍 very bumpy, very vibey 🫶🏻
- within the indoor enclosure, you get a variety of flower displays reaching magnificent landscape heights for the perfect photo in a lil oasis ❤️ I loved every floral corner and it was such a heaven for me 🥰
- for outdoors, there was even a small hike that you could trek to the hilltop which promised a panoramic view! However we didnt get to walk it due to time constraints 🥹
- overall the most photographic location, and I got A LOT A LOT OF GOOD PHOTOS for the gram, and really just so happy that I could end the year with these bunch of beautiful photos celebrating myself 🥳
🍓 Strawberry Farm! - RM35 per box
a surprisingly therapeutic location to unwind from the day. Its a small farm where we went, and it wasn’t strawberry season at all, so ripe and nice ones were scarce, however, I just really enjoyed the process of finding suitable ones.
- it made me realise that many of the ‘uglier’ ones were ripe and some rotten and hidden away :( it made me feel sad for those cause I realised that the pretty ones will always be chosen while the other not so nice looking ones end up abandoned despite possibly being really tasty 🥹
- so i ended up choosing many of the ugly ones and it turned out to be equally tasty to the pretty ones ❤️ they were also v odd shaped so I got to squeeze many many into my lil box 🫶🏻 so happy they dont have to rot there ☺️
- the whole process is actually really short, so take your time and enjoy yourself 👍
- smol tip: look for the berries hidden behind the leaf; these are the most untouched and hide great berries ❤️
🤤 Dinner 🍴- RM396
this was a mini surprise by my dear hubby and sis, a loc amongst beautiful vintage european-styled building 😍
- loved the whole vibe of the restaurant
- finally tried A beef wellington (tho a bit dissatisfied cause the crust was a lil soggy
- however, the beef steaks were BOOOMB!! Esp the fillet mignon, oh so gooooood!!! Every dish was pretty much amaazing and we had such a great meal!
- the cake was so extra, I love it, it went on fireeee 🔥 tho the taste was really not delish but the fire was FIREEEE so all good ☺️
Then followed by a short walk back to bnb, where we got sweet potato balls for dessert at the night market 🫶🏻

// DAY 3
// 22-DEC
We decided to take an impromptu trip to Ipoh and hired our day driver from day 2 to drive us up to Ipoh! Could have been a better rate but ya - RM270
The trip took 1hr 40mins and we arrived at our second bnb (SGD36.60) to drop our shopping baggage off and go for our day’s events ❤️
🍜 Lunch - an unassuming lunch Kopitiam with lots of hidden gems, right opp our bnb! Every dish we tried was aaamazzzinggg!
- we had their hakka noodles (DELISH!)
- chicken rice, wanton noodles, char kway teow (YUM!)
🚕 Grab to Thai Oasis for spa & massage - RM580
- Their massage was INTENSE esp the head massage ahahah; my sis said that her hair was getting ripped out
- I enjoyed their massage but wished it was more relaxing? Their massage bed is not the ones with the hole for your face but rather a towel for breathing, I was having a lil trouble breathing 😭
🚶🚶♀️🚶♀️🚶♂️Walked to the mall to find some fooood
- in the end we went to a nearby hotpot place, this was SO SO GOOD, please dont miss it!
RESTORAN MAMA’S TASTE - RM532.90
- their fish slices were so fresh and yummy we ordered another plate of it , along with their mini mantou x 2
- their suan cai soup was so yummy and light at the same time, it was delicious and irresistible 🙏
- we had a really hearty meal, and they even gifted us some tangerines at the end of the meal which wrapped the meal up really nicely!
🍵 CHAGEE
- Grab-ed there even though we could have walked diagonally to it 🥹 cause the grab was only RM5 😘
- we got the top3 recommended ones since we weren’t familiar w what was good, and all were so yumz and refreshing 🔥
📚 BOOKXCESS
- I loved the sg version and really wanted to go to the Ipoh oneee, and am so glad we didnt miss this place!
- Found my 25books for the year and all the classic collections I wanted to read !!
- even managed to participate in a secret santa for an orphanage and gifted a book!
- I also got a chance to join their lucky draw for a cruise trip, IM GONNA WIN THISSS 🫶🏻
- overall, a great trip spent to this loc
🌯 CONCUBINE LANE
- upon exiting, we saw some pretty street lights and were drawn to it! We didnt know it was the concubine lane which was highly recommended to visit!
- found us some cool card games to play for the road back, and it was such a great way to end our trip 🥰
- however, when trying to Grab back to our bnb to wait for transport home, we met 2 really nasty drivers :( they actually weren’t familiar with the route and when they heard we were 4 pax, they told us Covid and cancelled our call, even though it was clearly booked for 3-4 pax 🥲
🚕 Returned to wait for transport back to SG - SGD550
- same company as the driver from day 1 which takes us back home directly
- we played the card games we got, and were able to deepen our understanding of each other, which made the trip home more enjoyable!
AND THATS ITT!
HOME SWEET HOME! 🏠
The whole trip was so fruitful, it was exactly what I had in mind for a short getaway!
SAVE THIS FOR YOUR OWN TRIP ❤️
