Dry Fern Solution 🪴
Ferns vary in species. Most ferns prefer indirect light. In nature their natural habitat is under trees and shady areas of the rain forest. If your fern’s fronds are damaged and turning brown, here’s a solution to help bring them back to life:
Using a clean pair of shears, trim the brown damaged fronds.
Recipe:
2 tablespoons epsom salt
1 gallon water
Mix well to dissolve salt and add to plants. The solution will add much needed magnesium to your plant to regain its green glow. Outdoor ferns can take gentle morning sun with afternoon shade. Water 1-2 times per week. Ferns like evenly moist soil. In the spring I like to give my ferns a boost with liquid fertilizer, then add a slow release fertilizer for continuous feeding throughout the warm months. The slow release fertilizer will continue to breakdown and feed your plants with each watering.
