While We Were Young Kitchen & Cocktails is a stylish bar and restaurant that serves refined New American fare and the cutest, inventive craft cocktails! They are located in the heart of West Village – a prime location that is perfect for brunch on the weekends. The interior is decked out in white marble, dark navy blue and gold accents, and bubblegum pink seats. I honestly think this is the prettiest cafe I’ve ever stepped foot in! Usually cafes this beautiful are only good for the ambiance and insta-worthy pictures. However, While We Were Young delivers on all fronts, including both food and drinks!

Overall, their brunch is pretty affordable. All cocktails are $16 and their brunch prix fixe menu is $39 for an appetizer and entree. A pretty good deal for a brunch spot in the West Village. We ordered the burrata and tuna tartare to start and loved both appetizers, especially the burrata. The tuna could’ve been more fresh but still tasted fine. For entrees, we got their signature omelette and salmon bowl. I loved the omelette because breakfast potatoes were cooked INSIDE it and it was so fluffy! The salmon was also perfectly cooked and flaky.

Highly recommend coming here if you want a cute brunch date that delivers on all fronts!
