things i didn’t do during my pregnancy

breaking the norm, and sharing some things i didn’t do during my pregnancy. i felt so guilty for not doing some things that were “viral” and sometimes i still do till this day. although i remember what i had went through and realize that it’s okay for me to have felt the way i did, because of the miscarriage that happened prior.

❌ i was excited but i also wasn’t excited. i continuously feared something wrong was going to happen. i couldn’t be AS excited as much as i wanted to.

❌ no weekly bump pics were taken because i just wanted to enjoy the moment. i wanted to soak in the bump as much as possible, without the documentation. and i also didn’t begin to show until i was about 5-6 months.

❌we did not go on a baby moon because we were preparing to move into our house. we much rather welcome baby into a brand new home, than to go on a trip for ourselves. we just decided to go on more dates before her arrival!

❌ i did not put a nursery together because we lived in a apartment and we were already getting ready to move out. it honestly sucked, i wish we had moved sooner because i wanted to put something cute together before she arrived!

❌i didn’t want to take maternity pics but i ended up taking them anyway, to help my bestie with her photography business! now im super thankful that she forced me!

❌i announced my pregnancy really late! we felt like only important people should know in the beginning. we had planned to keep the pregnancy off of social media as long as possible. it was a mutual decision on when to announce our pregnancy! and it will be the same way for the next baby. the privacy is PHENOMENAL.

❌the prenatals i took made me feel so sick and i would consistently threw them up. i ended up not taking them at all, during my 2nd and 3rd trimester. of course people will have their own opinion about this, so i would love to put it out there, that baby and mom were both completely fine and healthy when she arrived! 🫠
