i love pimple patches because they help to prevent me from involuntarily picking at my skin and causing worser scars, but did you know there are different types of patches? instead of the basic hydrocolloid, the market was able to create other patches to treat acne and pimples in more specific ways

these are the most basic patches you can use on your pimples. when a whitehead is at the most surface of the skin, these would be the ones you use to help pull out the gunk and safely remove the pimple

💊 hydrocolloid with active ingredients

i like to use these type of patches if i want to suck up some gunk while also treating any inflammation. and sometimes, i get whiteheads on top of blind pimples so it’s kind of like a two-for-one deal

🧖🏻‍♀️ microneedle patches for deep blemishes

these have little needles that contain an active ingredient. you’re supposed to press the patch into the skin so the ingredients will be delivered directly to the spot you want to treat. when you have a blind pimple that’s sensitive to touch, these would be the best type of patch to use

🧴post-care patches

after you remove a patch, sometimes there’s a redness or small wound. usually if it’s just a small wound, i can just leave it alone to close by itself. but sometimes when there’s redness, i can use these patches to further help the inflammation while also reducing any chances of dark spots or scarring
