my favorite lip products 💄

the main reason as to why i don’t like to wear lippies is that they usually have a thick, sticky feel to them. to me, they feel suffocating and rather uncomfortable because i feel them on my mouth and i tend to hyperfixate on it, eventually urging me to wipe it off 😅

but lately i’ve found a couple lip products that i genuinely like and can see myself picking up and using more often!

🤍 the ordinary

this product is so simple with the squalane and amino acids. when you apply it, it comes out as a squeeze tube and it spreads very nicely with some slip to it. it’s not sticky when you press your lips together and it doesn’t feel heavy or suffocating on the skin. i like to use this for everyday when i just want a simple lip balm

🩷 beekman 1802

i was curious about this lip oil because usually, these types of formulas feel greasy and have some tack to it. however, when i applied this to my lips, it has a lot of slip to it while also having that lightweight feel. it’s not suffocating or oily on the mouth, so i can use this when i want some shine and slight color

❤️ fresh sugar

this one is my favorite when i want color on my lips without the thick feeling of a lipstick. i like the color because i think it suits me really well and it also applies pretty lightly. i don’t have to swatch multiple times to get a nice wash of color, sometimes dabbing the product works perfectly fine. this also has a slightly sweet scent but it’s not overpowering to the nose
