my magazine collection

i love magazines. they are a time stamp in history. they have a beginning and an end. they tell a complete story, succinctly.

i started collecting magazines in high school. i had decided i wanted to be a magazine journalist so i bought as many issues as i could each month. i didn’t set out to collect magazines, they were purely study material, at first. i started noticing magazine covers featured very few black women, so i saved those issues.

now, I have a massive collection of magazines with black women on the cover that I love to sort through. and, my magazine wall is one of my favorite things.
