BEST Japanese Izakaya In SG 🤤🎏 | Hidden Gem

Istg this has to be the best, most affordable, and underrated Japanese sushi restaurant in Singapore. Shifudo serves a wide variety of Japanese delicacies, including sushi nigiri, sashimi, skewers, donburi, udon, bento sets, and more! And the best part is that they are all reasonably priced!! 😋

Salmon Belly Aburi Nigiri 🍣 — $3/sushi

This was the thickest, fresh, glazed to perfection salmon aburi sushi that I ever had!? And for only $3 each?? Worth every single cent. The salmon was SO fresh and delicious 🤤 I can still remember the taste of it till today.. #WorthIt

Salmon Sashimi — $9.90/plate

Super Fresh!!! The sashimi quality is amazing, the salmon basically melted in my mouth. 😭😋 Very reasonable priced for the thickness and freshness of the sashimi! 👍🏼

Shifudo Don — $14.90

This dish did not really meet my expectations, as it was kinda dry for me. But the sashimi cubes were really fresh, and they are very generous with the sashimi portion! 🙌🏼

Salmon Mentai Don — $15.90

Not bad, but I think it is quite a mediocre salmon mentai don. I love that they included onsen egg in the donburi, which made the entire dish really flavourful! The portion of salmon was quite generous as well, and the cubes were thick 🎏

💭 Overall:

Their sushi and sashimi really won me over, and I think it will now officially be my go-to sushi spot! I'll definitely be back for the sashimi and sushis, as well as to try other dishes. The don weren't particularly noteworthy, but the sushi and sashimi surely won’t disappoint!! #MyGoTo
